When to keep the original
Keep Claude Code if the command loop is already reliable and your concern can be addressed with clearer permissions, smaller tasks or a reviewed billing configuration.
Migration rehearsal
Create a copy of the project, remove production secrets, export data using a documented method and run the tests in the candidate workflow. Compare the work needed to restore service after a failed change. Keep the original until the rehearsal succeeds.
