When to keep the original
Keep Replit if operational convenience is valuable and current billing is acceptable after verification. Moving only the code does not move secrets, data or domain configuration.
Migration rehearsal
Create a copy of the project, remove production secrets, export data using a documented method and run the tests in the candidate workflow. Compare the work needed to restore service after a failed change. Keep the original until the rehearsal succeeds.
